Brokerage Services Inc., we are the boutique of insurance wholesaler agencies. Our number one goal is to provide the best service available. We pride ourselves in having a real person answer the phone and offer the personal touch whenever possible. That is the advantage of working with us.
We appreciate building relationships with independent insurance agents looking for high quality insurance and investment products. We would be happy to help you with anything from running illustrations to negotiating with the home office and advanced sales help. We will provide you with prompt courteous assistance before, during and after the sale.
We are a Legacy General Agency with Transamerica Life Company. With Transamerica we can offer top contracts and the ability to have the connections in each area a agent might need. Through a special partnership with CPS Insurance Services we can also offer contracts with several other carriers offering, Life, Long Term Care, Disability and Annuity products.

Sadly we lost our fearless leader, my father, Neal Thomas in August 2019. Neal founded Brokerage Services in 1977 as a Transamerica Occidental Life General Agency in Lincoln NE. Brokerage Services Inc was incorporated in 1984. A second office opened in Omaha in 1987. Additional agencies were purchased in Kearney and Hastings in 1987. In 2001 additional offices in Sioux Falls SD and Fargo ND were added to the BSI General Agency. Two more locations were added in Rapid City SD in 2007.
Lisa Skinner- President
Lisa joined the BSI team in 2002 at the Omaha location. In 2008 Lisa became Agency Supervisor of the Omaha office but soon moved the location to Herman NE closer to her family. In December 2019 our Lincoln and Herman offices merged into one location, national headquarters are in Herman NE now.
Lisa is married to Bill Skinner and lives on a farm outside of Herman. They have 4 children son Treven & Amy Fricke, daughter Madelyn & Alex Metzler, daughter Emma and son Alex.
